Feel free to contact our freight agents who are always at your service in this regard.LABELING Labeling is an important matter of freight forwarding service. Do not forget to mark your name, address, and zip code on each box by using a felt tip marker. If you have any special instruction or have any sensitive item, please contact OTSFF / OTS freight agents and tell them to write those specific shipping instructions on the Bill of Lading. EXACT PACKAGING A) Crating: Crating packaging system is usually used for heavier or larger products. This packaging system is considered as the best guarantee against product damage. The cost of this packaging system is usually a bit higher, but the advantage is superior protection. B) Dual-Walled Corrugated Cardboard: This type of packaging system is often an inexpensive alternative to crating system and generally frequently used in the shipping industry. If you need to move furniture or other larger items, use bubble wrap and quality Styrofoam around the items to ensure the protection. Then box the items in such a way that there is no movement inside; use tight strapping to hold the items in its place. Metal or nylon strapping is good to hold the items strictly in its place. C) Double-Boxing: Usually, this type of packaging is very popular for fragile items like glassware, and smaller items that need extra care. Sensitive items should be hand wrapped by especial bubble wrap. Then these items should place inside an inner transport box with packaging peanuts. Then this small transport box is placed inside an actual transport box with two or three inches packaging peanuts around all six sides of the inner transport box. D) Standard Grade Corrugated Cardboard: This is the most commonly used packaging system for shipping books, clothes, plastic and other unbreakable things. Consult our Freight Agents to ensure that this is an acceptable method for your items. E) Palletizing: Palletizing is used to pack smaller items. At first, smaller items are combined together and then they are boxed. In this packaging system items are placed in a heavy wood foundation, strapped in place but shrink wrapped, and shipped with an especial pallet jack. In Palletizing system, a dock or liftgate is essential and forklift is usually used to move these freights.
